Amigo is an axolotl, a unique Mexican amphibian.
The axolotl represents the physical form of Xolotl, the God of transformation. In reality, axolotls are amazing creatures with powerful regenerative properties. They are able to regrow lost parts of their own body, and even complex body parts like portions of the heart and brain.
For us, Amigo represents the process of learning a new language.
Learning a new language is also a transformation. It challenges us to think differently and express ourselves in new ways. We do not become someone else. We become a more confident version of ourselves. That is why an axolotl is the heart of Amigo Spanish.
